Because my previous computer has been in service for six years, it was purchased after the college entrance examination and has been with me throughout my youth. During college, I used it to write papers and complete assignments.
However, recently it has been getting worse, mainly due to some issues with the color gamut of the screen, which is causing a large area to appear white and is very harmful to the eyes.
In addition, the graphics card configuration, etc., although it can still be used reluctantly, it is also a product from many years ago. The graphics card and CPU are also unable to meet my current needs (mainly because modern games require higher specifications). Taking everything into consideration, I decided to retire it. After careful consideration, I chose the HP Omen 7.
I planned to spend between 6000-7000, so I directly gave up on some high-priced and low-configured office laptops. I mainly focused on gaming laptops. Don't be fooled by the name, in general, gaming laptops in the same price range have better performance than office laptops, which suits my requirements. Besides being slightly larger and heavier, there are no other disadvantages.
After setting a budget, I started looking at brands. Since it is a laptop, it is more reliable to buy from well-known brands, as I can't guarantee the quality and after-sales service of products from smaller manufacturers. I paid attention to brands like HP, Lenovo, and Acer. Among them, the Omen, Legion, and Predator series are all good choices in terms of cost-effectiveness. After much deliberation, I chose the Omen 7 with an RTX3050ti graphics card. I read some reviews from users on Zhihu and felt that they were all similar, so I placed the order. The most important thing is to try it out on the machine to see if it is suitable.

After looking at this computer, I am very satisfied. I checked the appearance and everything was fine. The screen was normal. Then I checked the authenticity code, and everything was normal. After activation, I didn't encounter any problems. Charging was normal, keyboard input and touchpad were all normal.
I opened Steam, downloaded CS, and the speed was fast and smooth. It can basically stay above 380fps, and the gaming performance is very satisfying. I will test the local rendering of code later.

It has been many years since I last changed my computer. The company I work for also provides computers, and my old computer can still be used, so I didn't have the idea of buying a new one. Now I feel that it's time to change, and it has been a very pleasant shopping experience.
I will temporarily set aside the old computer. Whether I sell it or do some DIY, that's a story for later. After all, there are some emotions attached to it, and I want to make the most of its remaining heat.
